youtube.com/watch?v=VyZeqzWvR7w

2.- Always
youtube.com/watch?v=SexR4z-x3QY

6ºB: NEW TOPIC:
Let me introduce you a new style: Romanticism (also called the Romantic era or the Romantic period)
It is a style of art, literature and music in the late 18th and early 19th century in Europe. This movement said that feelings, imagination, nature, and old folk traditions such as legends and fairy tales were important.

Waltz was a very popular dance during Romanticism, but did you know that Vienna was the world capital of Waltz? Couples danced to Johan Strauss' s ''The Blue Danube'' during the city's golden era at the elegant courtyards and in spectacular elegant buildings.

The next video shows you different people dancing waltz during years

Let´s dance too!

6ºA / 6ºB: Now, let's play one of the most famous composition from this period: "New world Symphony" by Antonín Dvořák

"Radezsky march" by J.Strauss is a very famous composition, also. When it was first played in front of Austrian officers on 31 August 1848 in Vienna, they spontaneously clapped and stamped their feet when they heard the chorus.
Since first introduced in 1946 by conductor Joseph Krips during the New Year's Concert the audience has to do it too.

6ºA:

Now, let´s continue with the History of music.
In the last century (s. XX) was extremely different.
New instruments, like the theremin

 new scales twelve-tone tecnique (dodecafonismo)
youtube.com/watch?v=y-b01j9EZBM
incredible and great  Spanish composers: like Francisco Tárrega (Castellón) with his guitar

youtube.com/watch?v=fwjX-m4LkYk

or  Isaac Albéniz (Camprodón, Girona)  with his "Suite Iberia"
youtube.com/watch?v=MrKFuRElB6k

and new way to compose with incredible sounds, like Cristóbal Halffter (Madrid) conquer Europe and the world with their music.
youtube.com/watch?v=Mb2zb9M7Uco

Esto y mucho más pasaba en el siglo XX con la música, vamos a llamarla culta, pero ¿qué pasa con el pueblo?

Now it´s your turn to compose and play:
Use your body, objects or whatever you need to do music, like Mayumaná:

Medieval / Middle ages

The Middle Ages in Europe occurred between 500 and 1500 CE. It was the age of feudalism and manors, of lords, ladies, knights, serfs, and peasants. The government of Rome had disappeared. It was replaced by thousands of small, regional feudal governments, where the local lord was in charge. But the real ruler was the Catholic church. Religion dominated everything people did in their daily life. Whether you lived on a manor or in a castle or in one of the growing towns, daily life in the Middle Ages was deeply religious.
